Nowadays, buying a camera isn't about specs. Most cameras perform brilliantly, with some slightly better than others. But that's the key point, slightly better.
When starting out or choosing a new camera, ergonomics and ease of use are probably the most important points to consider. 'How does it feel in the hand' and 'how easy are the options to change' are possibly the best questions to ask yourself.
The Internet won't tell you how it feels to you personally. Go out and physically feel a handful of cameras before making your purchase.
