Resetting camera settings after a shoot

Last week I went out to take a few photos for the white balance page. I took a number of photos and moved on before I reviewed the photos. Usually, my settings are changed back to a default of ISO 200, f4, 1/125th after every shoot. Clearly, I had forgotten after the last one, because my ISO was cranked to ISO 6400!

Needless to say, I couldn't really use the photos. I had to go back and reshoot the previous photos all over again!

Even when you think your settings have been set, it's always a good idea to recheck them. Luckily for me, it was in my home city, and I had reviewed my photos after only 15 minutes. Could you imagine if it had been a once in a lifetime photo opportunity..? I'd have screwed up majorly!
